Starting with TheJobMate.com

Registering
From any page of the TheJobMate website click on the "Sign in/up" link located below the top menu bar on the left. Once in the "Sign In" page, click on the "Sign up" link inside of the sign in form. Fill out the "Personal Info" form and submit it. This last action signs you in automatically into the TheJobMate.com website.

Why should I register with TheJobMate.com?
When you are a registered user you have more privileges than a standard visitor. As a registered user you can post resumés, vacancies, benefit from the vacancy search agents, track your TheJobMate financial transactions, etc. Registration is free, why not register now? See how to register.

I have forgotten my TheJobMate.com username and/or password.
If you have forgotten your TheJobMate.com username and/or password, follow the standard sign in procedure. Once in the "Sign In" page, click on the "I have forgotten my Password" link inside of the sign in form. Type your registered email address in the "Password Reminder" form.
Note that if multiple accounts are registered with the registered email address, all TheJobMate.com usernames and passwords will be sent. Please, if the email sent does not appear in your inbox folder, check the spam or junk folders. Tip: Add <thejobmate_service@thebizmate.com> email address to your address book to prevent spam filtering.

How do I update my personal information?
From any page of the TheJobMate website locate the mouse pointer over the top menu "My Account" option and click on the "Personal Info" option. You can also change your personal information when you are editing your resumé.

Will my contact information be sold to third parties?
TheJobMate will not disclose to any third party your name, address, telephone number or email address without your consent, except to the extent necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws or in legal proceedings where such information is relevant.

"Deactivated Account". Why do I see on my pages that red sign?
In order to keep our database updated and offer a more accurate service, if a job seeker does not sign in at least once within 15 days, we assume that he/she was hired and the account will be automatically deactivated. This means that your resumé would not be searchable but your data will remain on the database and can be directly accessed. To activate your account click on the "Activate" button at the right of the "Deactivate Account" sign.

How can I put credit on an account?
If you have banking online at RBC (Royal Bank of Canada), tansfer funds to:

  - ID Name: TheBizMate
or you can make a deposit in any RBC branch to the referred account above. Do not forget to make a memo with your TheJobMate.com User ID (see it in Personal Info), username and full name.

What should I do to know my current balance?
From any page of the TheJobMate website click on the top menu "My Account" option. Check the "Current Balance" field. Your purchases and credits histories will also be shown.

Vacancies

How can I find vacancies on TheJobMate.com?
From any page of the TheJobMate website locate the mouse pointer over the top menu "Job Seekers" option and click on the "Search Vacancies" option. Once in the "Search Vacancies" page, click on the "Search" button. The same result can be obtained clicking the "Search" button in the "Search Vacancies" form in the home page. To see the Vacancy's Details click on the Vacancy "ID" link or "Vacancy" title link.

How can I post a vacancy on TheJobMate.com?
From any page of the TheJobMate website locate the mouse pointer over the top menu "Employers" option and click on the "Post Vacancy" option. Once in the "Post Vacancy" page, fill out the form. After you submit the form by pressing the "Add" button, to make any change or update your vacancy, follow the standard procedure to find a vacancy and see the vacancy's details. When you are in the "Vacancy's Details" page, click on the "Edit Vacancy" button. Note that you must first sign in as the user who posted the vacancy to get full edition access. How can I improve my vacancy search results?
The keywords you enter to describe the vacancy you are looking for, and the order of multiple keywords, will greatly influence your search results. To start, try entering single keywords that you think will match vacancy titles and vacancy categories that may interest you. If you are not sure which keywords to use, you can omit keywords and search under vacancy by country and vacancy by category. Viewing sample of vacancy listings in a category that interests you will help you identify keywords to use in your vacancy searches.

Why does my search return few results?
It could be that the search criteria that you entered are too detailed. For more search results, you can try reducing the number of keywords you are using.

What is a Vacancy Search Agent?
Creating a Vacancy Search Agent automates your vacancy search and  accesses automatically any vacancy posted. Instead of manually repeating vacancy searches, you can enter your search criteria once and have search results e-mailed to you. The Vacancy Search Agent queries our database and e-mails you only new posted vacancies found according to your defined search criteria. Note that new posted vacancies are posted vacancies after the creation date of the Search Agent.

How can I get my own Vacancy Search Agents?
From any page of the TheJobMate website locate the mouse pointer over the top menu "Job Seekers" option and click on the "Vacancy Agent" option. Choose the wanted months service and click on the correspondent "Buy Now" button. Afterwards fill out the "Add/Edit Vacancy Search Agent" form. During the service time, you can create up to 5 different Vacancy Search Agents. Note that to get the service you must have credit in your account. See how you can put credit on an account.

How can I get more information about a vacancy posted?
Click on the Vacancy Title or Vacancy ID. Since employers can post their own vacancies, they are responsible for the information in the vacancy listing. For more information on a vacancy, we recommend that you contact the employer in question. If an employer has omitted a way to contact him/her, please contact us including the Vacancy ID number and we will ask the employer for the information missed to update the vacancy posting as soon as possible.

How do I create and post a resumé on TheJobMate.com?
After you create your account you can create and post your resume at any time by clicking the "Post Resumé" option which appear when you, from any page of the TheJobMate website, locate the mouse pointer over the top menu "Job Seekers" option . Once in the "Post Resumé" page, complete your "Personal Info" form and after submit this form you will have access to the rest of the forms to fill out your resumé. In order to keep a high quality service and protect your confidentiality, TheJobMate review resumés before posting it. We pledge to do our best to review and post resumés within 1 business day. Tip: While entering information, be concise and adjust to the requested field.

TheJobMate offers service totally free of charge, for job seekers, to post a resumé. In that way every body has the opportunity to post his/her resumé on the Internet and get a high probability finding a job and be hired by employers. TheJobMate does not erase its registered user data. Once you create your resumé, it will always be directly accessible. See deactivated account for more information.

Once in the "Post Resumé" page change/add the desired information. Note that each form must be submitted separately after you are finished with its modifications.

Why do my resumé changes not appear right away on the Internet?
In order to keep a high quality service and protect your confidentiality, TheJobMate reviews resumés before posting it. We pledge to do our best to review and post resumés within 1 business day.

Who will see my resumé?
When your resumé is posted, it will be browsed as an anonymous resumé (Contact Information, References and Notes are not visible) in order to keep your confidentiality and prevent unnecessary contacts. This could be helpful too if you are employed and do not want your employer to identify your resume on TheJobMate.com. Your Contact Information, Former/Actual Employers, and Notes only will be shown to the prospective employer.

From any page of the TheJobMate website locate the mouse pointer over the top menu "Employers" option and click on the "Search Resumés" option. Once in the "Search Resumés" page, click on the "Search" button. Same result can be obtained clicking the "Search" button in the "Search Resumés" form in the "Home Page".

In order to keep our user's confidentiality and prevent unnecessary contacts, we keep restricted access to some information on the resumés. Only prospective employers can get access to this information by clicking on the "Get Contact" button. Note that to get results you must have credict on your account.
